"Twenty five local non-profits. One week of voting. 6000 votes. And the winner is Harper's Playground. The playground strives to build a community where children and adults of all ages will grow together and have a better chance of knowing and caring about their friends with different abilities. And the playground is gorgeous."

"The Goldberg Family has two daughters, Harper and Lennon. Harper has a disability which makes it hard for her to use playgrounds. Cody and April, her parents, decided to raise money to build a playground where people of all ages and abilities could play together. My mom’s work joined in the project. That is how I found out. This family is heroic to me because I believe they were determined to provide a park where all could play together. They were also giving, that showed they cared for their community. Finally, they showed courage because they stuck together to build the playground. I got to visit the exquisite playground and I have to say it looks tremendous.”
